RIDE N' DRIVE

Name:   Ride n' Drive

Owner: Eva Kempley

History

Ride n' Drive has been trading for 43 Years in the Equestrian trade, starting off in Lowestoft and then moving premises to Henstead, Suffolk, 6 years ago. The business has grown over the years from humble beginnings to an important retail outlet with hundreds of products for both equestrian and non-equestrian customers and now more recently Ride n' Drive has started an Online Shop in order to enable even more people to benefit from their fantastic range of goods (www.ridendrive.co.uk).

Eva Kempley is the founder and owner of Ride n' Drive and she has seen many changes in the equestrian market over the years, especially the major change in clothing for both horse and rider. Eva says that when she first started as a business “the only colour you could get was green and everyone thought it was marvelous to be able to have navy when that first came in! Nowadays you can buy any horsey item in any colour of the rainbow. Years ago horse rugs used to only be made of jute and canvas and now most people don't know what a jute rug is!

What do you believe is special about you and your service to your customers?

“Easy parking, easy viewing and easy on the pocket!” says Eva. Ride n' Drive offers a personal service and lovely atmosphere to customers within the surroundings of a wonderful converted barn. Customers are free to browse or to receive one-to-one help with any of the goods, its all up to what the customers wants.

Ride n' Drive have everything the horse and rider needs, from bedding to bridles! At the moment people are shopping for showing equipment and Eva says that a few years ago no-one would have thought that the ‘bling-bling' browbands would catch the judges eye like they do now, with horse and rider matching and making such a pretty picture in the show ring.

Who works here?: Eva, Neecey – Eva's loyal right hand and Laura – a brilliant worker who has put together the website and has added a new dimension to the hard working team at Ride n' Drive.

What types of Bed-Down do you regularly stock?
