Bed-Down Sponsors Badminton Bound Rider!!

Bed-Down - Just Better British Bedding

Over the years Bed-Down have been proud to sponsor local riders, to help them achieve their goals within their chosen equestrian sport. We have been lucky to have such a good team of riders based so close to our plant in Norfolk.Simon and Splash BranhamAs an expanding company we are continually looking for new channels to support and promote our range of bedding. We are essentially a family run business with an excellent premium product to shout about.

Imagine our excitement when we were approached just before the Great Witchingham International Horse trials by none other than CCI 4* British Eventing rider Simon Grieve, asking about the potential of bedding down his Badminton bound horse Drumbilla Metro (Splash) on our bedding.

Simon’s dream has always been to compete on the biggest stage that British Eventing has to offer; completing Burghley six times and competing at Badminton in May means that he is lucky enough to be living that dream.

It takes a lot for a horse to consistently perform at the highest level of eventing; a level where every aspect of the horse is tested to the limit and where respiratory efforts are essential to maintain performance.

For Simon, but more specifically Splash, who has previously had sinus problems, choosing a bedding that minimised the effects of dust and ammonia in the box was, and still is, absolutely paramount.

After trying numerous other bedding options, Simon wanted to try Splash on the Bed-Down Excel Plus. A bedding specifically designed with the high performance horse in mind.Simon and Splash Branham“Excel Plus offers the very best in dust extraction, absorbency and helps to keep his airways clear, the best and most economical bedding I have used in a very long time” says Simon.

He went on to say “Badminton is one of the biggest sporting occasions in the world and arguably the toughest three day event, so I need Splash to be at his very best, Excel Plus will definitely help him”.

Brought up and going to school in Suffolk in his younger years, but now living in Leicestershire and working his own eventing yard, Bed-Down is excited to welcome Simon Grieve and his string of horses to the Bed-Down team of riders.
